Employee Ethnography
What is it?
If you have an internal audience, employee ethnography is for you. By using the same framework as our audience ethnography, employee ethnography looks at our internal consumers – our staff. This approach helps us understand how to better connect with and understand our home-based team players and discovers who they are, how they spend their time, and how they create ‘work-around’s’ for everyday challenges.
Who needs it?
If you need to understand more about the people in your organisations, employee ethnography can help you do that. By asking big questions and understanding your business challenges, our anthropologists can help you see your internal consumer in a new light, with a fresh perspective on what motivates and drains them.
How do we do it?
A six-week process allows us to immerse ourselves in our employees worlds, through both immersions, ride-alongs, shadowing and in-depth or immersive interviews. Working alongside the client, we craft a research proposal that guides our inquiry, and co-create the insights that we need to truly create chemistry for brands.
