Product Ethnography
What is it?
Learn about the role your product plays in the lives of customers and who the users are. Whether it’s a new t-shirt, a recently launched ecommerce system or an employee benefits package for your business, product ethnography uses the principles of UX research to understand how users engage with your product and the lifecycle of that product in the consumer’s world.
Who needs it?
If you are looking for insights to design or upgrade a particular product, or tackle bugbears in your user experience, this approach helps us observe the behavioural engagements and emotional connections that exist when people interact with things.
How do we do it?
A six-week process allows us to immerse ourselves in our customers worlds, through both immersions and in-depth or immersive user interviews. Working alongside the client, we craft a research proposal that guides our inquiry, and co-create the insights that we need to create human-centred products and services.
